Kara Rogers is a founding writer for Walking Gospel Inspiration. After sharing her testimonies at a yoga retreat, one of the group leaders spoke the name “Walking Gospel” over her. This happened repeatedly as she shared stories of God’s redemptive work in her life though significant trauma and hardship. Kara loved the nickname she had been given, returned home and created an instagram account which she called “walkinggospelyoga” to document her love of yoga and Jesus.

Over the years, God revealed a movement she would lead around her Walking Gospel identity which she eventually turned into her corporation. “The path to creating Walking Gospel has been one of greatest joys and significant hardships,” she shares. “Some of the people closest to me have been tools of the enemy as they claimed I was no Walking Gospel and would not accomplish the vision I had been given. But when you have been given something to birth into the world, it must be born, regardless of the skeptics or those trying to hold you back.”

Kara is eager to inspire people in their journey of finding Jesus, deepening their relationship with Christ, enduring seasons of great trial, celebrating the goodness of God and encouraging others in their faith walk. She says, “Your relationship with God is personal. It is intimate. It is the greatest comfort and hope we have in the world. I cannot imagine going through this last decade of my life without Jesus. I look forward to sharing testimonies of desperation, redemption and revelation as I strive to walk this gospel into the world.”

Kara is a mother of two: Shiloh (6), Noah (11). She resides in Daphne, Alabama.

Jenni Starling is a founding writer for Walking Gospel Inspiration. A storyteller at heart, she began writing about her journey and her faith over ten years ago as she shared her joys, sorrows, and lessons through mental health, infertility, divorce, and adoption. As she wrote about her experiences, she grew closer to God. Her passion for writing continues to strengthen her personal walk with Jesus and encourages other believers through her gift of expression and raw vulnerability.

Her favorite verse in the Bible is Matthew 11:30, “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Jenni says, “This verse reminds me daily of the intention and love of God with his children. When life gets heavy, this verse reminds me that God is love and the burdens of the world are not of him.” Jenni finds comfort resting in the love that she has and continues to find in him.

Jenni is in the final year of obtaining her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. With the completion of her degree, it is her hope that she will work in her community to bring awareness to the importance of mental health awareness and advocacy.

Jenni is married to her childhood sweetheart, Dwayne, and she is the mother to Dean (7). In her free time, she is an avid reader, writer, and loves spending the evening on the beach fishing with her family. She resides in Orange Beach, Alabama.
